The Kingdom Paradigm, Part Two

March 21, 2025

KSAM: The Kingdom Paradigm, Part Two

In my last blog, we defined what a paradigm is and the importance of recognizing the paradigm through which we see the world. We explored how people often live from governmental, religious, or church paradigms, and we introduced the Kingdom paradigm — God’s original and eternal system for humanity. In this blog, we’ll dig deeper into the power of paradigms and how they shape the outcomes of our lives.

A paradigm is more than just an idea. It becomes the unseen force that dictates how we think, how we act, and ultimately, how we live. Whatever dominates our thoughts, our actions, and our desires — that is the paradigm we have chosen, whether consciously or not.

Many of us unknowingly allow other forces to define our worldview: our bodies, our intellect, our pursuit of power, wealth, recognition, acceptance, or pleasure. These dynamics are strong, alluring, and often temporary. They may provide immediate gratification, but they rarely deliver lasting fulfillment or purpose.

There is a powerful truth found in the image of a canvas in our minds, where we paint the picture of our faith. That image — our internal worldview — becomes the very thing we pursue and most often experience in life. What we paint on that canvas matters. It shapes the outcomes of our decisions and the direction of our lives.

But here’s the challenge: most of the paradigms we’re painting are confined to the temporary — to time and earth. We were not made for time alone. Our presence here is temporary. The paradigm we develop in time will influence our experience in the forever hereafter.

That’s why the Kingdom paradigm matters so deeply. It is eternal. It transcends time and has power over every other system and structure. It is the only paradigm that fits who we were created to be — and the only one that leads to true purpose, lasting peace, and eternal alignment with God’s design.

Stay tuned for Part 3 in this series next week.

The Kingdom Paradigm

March 14, 2025

KSAM: The Kingdom Paradigm

What Paradigm Are You Living From?

Every human operates from a paradigm — a worldview shaped by beliefs, values, and assumptions. It’s the lens through which we interpret life, make decisions, and respond to the world around us. But have we ever paused to ask: Is the paradigm we’re living from the right one?

Our Creator didn’t leave us to navigate life without guidance. He gave us absolute principles, values, and precedents — His divine Constitution — designed to govern our lives. Yet, throughout history, humanity has built and adopted countless paradigms in place of this divine system.

Some people view life through a governmental lens, letting national or local structures determine their sense of order, identity, and purpose. Others embrace a religious paradigm, relying on doctrines or disciplines that may hold form but often lack the substance of divine intention. This often leads to the formation of church paradigms — institutions built around beliefs, rather than transformation through Kingdom living.

Jesus Christ didn’t come to establish another government, church, or religion. He came to bring a different system entirely — the Kingdom of God. His government is redemptive, eternal, and complete. It’s not a temporary construct of human effort, but the original blueprint for humanity — His way of doing and being right.

Whatever dominates your thoughts, actions, and desires — that is your paradigm. Whether it’s power, wealth, acceptance, relationships, or influence, these pursuits often form a temporary worldview that ultimately cannot satisfy.

But the Kingdom paradigm transcends time. It’s not confined to earth or temporary experiences. It’s eternal and was made for humanity — and humanity for it. No other system fits the human design like the Kingdom of God.

The question we all must ask is this: Which paradigm are we living from — and is it the one our Creator intended?

OUT NOW: The Kingdom System, Revised and Expanded

February 18, 2025

KSAM: OUT NOW: The Kingdom System, Revised and Expanded

I am happy to share that the newly revised, updated, and expanded version of The Kingdom System is out and available now! Check it out here.

Our God really has a sense of humor, and His paths and plans often take us to places we would never imagine. I never set out to be an author, teacher, or speaker. I’m an entrepreneur and businessman, and have been all of my life. Business is the world I understand. So I suppose it should come as no surprise that God would use the business arena to open my eyes and teach me about the most important, revolutionary, life-changing reality: His kingdom.

Over twenty-five years ago I began facing and dealing with an incredibly challenging season in business, and it was in that time that God revealed to me what His kingdom is, how it operates, and why understanding and operating in the kingdom would become the building block for everything that would follow in my life. I came to see that for much of my life up until that point I had been in religion, but what my Creator wanted was to be in relationship. He wanted me to see that true success is found only in and through His kingdom.

Out of this challenging, fruitful time came some of the greatest lessons I’ve ever learned. I was glad to have this new understanding, and before long doors began to open for me to teach others what I had learned — not only in the U.S. but all across the world. In fact, Fran and I travelled to over sixty countries where we had the privilege to teach Kingdom values and principles. It was an amazing experience to see “lightbulb moments” across the globe as people suddenly understood what they had been missing from life, and what has made available to them through the kingdom.

God clearly began to speak to me that I was to write books based on what He had taught me. I will be the first to admit that this thought intimidated and overwhelmed me. Again, I never had any inclination of becoming an author! But try as I may, it was a calling I could not escape from. I put pen to paper, and the book that emerged was The Kingdom System.

So why are we re-releasing The Kingdom System now? The book was originally released over twelve years ago, and as I began the writing journey there was much I did not understand about being an author and about the publishing world. All the books I have written up until this point have been self-published. But God recently opened the door for me to partner with Fedd Books, a national literary agency that has released titles from people like Eric Metaxas, Tim Tebow, John Bevere, Lisa TerKeurst, and others. This was the perfect opportunity to take what I’ve written years ago and revise and expand it with new insights I’ve gained since the original writing, as well as filling in some of the back story of what was happening in my life as God was teaching me the lessons that would eventually become the book.

This new version of The Kingdom System has just been released, but I am also re-releasing my next two books — Kingdomnomics and Kingdom Deployment — in March and in May, respectively. These three books comprise what I’m calling the God’s Redemptive Plan for Governance series, and I consider them the core message God has given me to share with humanity. I am hopeful that with this re-release and relaunch we will be able to reach the ends of the earth with the life-changing message of God’s kingdom.

If you’re reading this and asking yourself how you can help, there are a few different ways. First, and most obviously, you can purchase the book. Second, you can review the book on Amazon. The more purchases and reviews the book gets, the higher it will rank in Amazon’s algorithm, and the more it will be recommended and viewed by people who otherwise may not see it. And third, if you have an event coming up in which you would be interested in me speaking, please reach out to my team. I want to spread this message everywhere possible, so I am open to consider speaking and teaching engagements from book groups to church meetings, podcasts, and large conferences. You can email my team at contactus@charlielewis.net.

I hope you will enjoy and find great value in the book as you seek first God’s Kingdom.

Merry Christmas

December 23, 2024

KSAM: Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from the Lewis Family and all of us here at Kingdom School and Ministry! We wish you joy, peace, and love this Christmas as you gather with family and friends.

My friend Charles Carrin has written a moving message I would love to share with you. It demonstrates how all of biblical history leads to the birth of Jesus, the Promised Son. I think you will be blessed as you take some time to read and reflect on this powerful message.

Blessings to you!

BETHLEHEM’S PROMISED SON

A Special Christmas Message by Charles Carrin

Click here to find out more about Charles Carrin

More than seventeen hundred years before the birth of Christ, Jacob’s beloved wife, Rachael, gave birth to her second son and died. To her, he was her “Son of Sorrow,” and she named him that in her final moments. “Not so!”– the father of the baby corrected her. “He shall be called `Son of my Right Hand.” In that dual naming of Rachael’s son, we have one of the clearest and earliest prophesies of Christ. The Hebrew name of Rachael’s son, Benoni, not only described her son’s sad plight but also prophetically identified Jesus as the “Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.” Isaiah 53:3. But Benoni’s other name, and the one by which we remember Him, Benjamin, is the one which marks them both–not in humiliation– but in glory: “Son of the Father’s right hand.”

It was not accidental that Rachael gave birth to her son at Bethlehem. It had to be that way prophetically, since Mary also gave birth to her Son in Bethlehem. Rachael’s name in Hebrew meant “Mother Sheep”—that is, the one who gives birth to the lamb. Like the Virgin Mary, her counterpart who gave birth to the true Lamb of God, both births were accompanied by joy that was soon overshadowed by grief. In the first birth, the tragedy was the death of Rachael; in the second birth, grief came with the horrific death of Rachael’s own descendants— the Hebrew babies who were born at the time of Jesus’ birth. The Scripture tells us that when Herod saw that he was mocked of the wise men, he “sent forth and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem.” According to Matthew’s account, the weeping of Bethlehem’s mothers was the fulfillment of Rachael’s earlier tears:

“In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachael weeping for her children, and would not be comforted…” Matt. 2:18

In the years that followed Rachael’s death, Jacob carefully guarded his son.  While the other children were allowed freedom to travel about, Benjamin was kept close to home and to the heart of his father. For this reason, when the famine came and the older sons went into Egypt to buy grain, Benjamin was not permitted to go. Jacob diligently kept his promise to the boy’s mother. This son remained close to his “right hand.” And, as we read in the Genesis account, when the demand was placed upon Jacob that no more food could be purchased unless Benjamin went with them, it was only in great agony of soul that he consented for young Benjamin to go. At that point, none of them realized that Rachael’s prophetic name, Son of Sorrow, was soon to fall upon this innocent young man with intense grief.

Over the protests of his father, Benjamin accompanied the others into Egypt. Here the silver cup was secretly slipped into his sack of grain, and in spite of his innocence, the burden of false accusation fell convincingly upon him. We have to read the New Testament to hear the words of Benoni’s cry when his sack is emptied and the cup is found. It is the words of Gethsemane. The night is that infamous one of betrayal. Benoni cried, “O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me.”

Seventeen hundred years separated the first Benoni from the Second, but the mission for each was the same, and the price to be paid was the one of sacrifice. The single purpose uniting both was that a lost family would be reunited with its Elder Brother. With Benjamin, it was the restoration of an earthly household. With the Second, the promised Messiah, it was the restoration of a fallen race to the Heart of our Heavenly Father God and the glories of His Heavenly Throne. In both cases, the sons of Rachael and Mary fulfilled their work well. Bethlehem wept that the world might rejoice.

Benjamin returned to his father, riding in glory. The cup of grief was forgotten. The anguish of the trial was past. He had served both prophetic names well: He had been loyal to his father’s right hand and had obediently taken the cup of his mother’s sorrow. Justly, he earned the tributes which were given him upon his triumphant arrival at the family home.

Again, we must turn to the New Testament to find the description and fulfillment of that prophetic and holy scene. It is the one of the Messiah’s restoration to His Father’s right hand that is recorded in Revelation 5:9.

“And they sang a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and open the seals thereof: for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by the blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. …Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing!”

The message contained in these Biblical narratives is that we can now partake of the glorious New Life that Jesus purchased for us! We have been delivered “out of the dominion and control of darkness and have been translated into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love.” We are now sons and NOT slaves, and we are seated with Christ in heavenly places/realms/spheres. That means we are in Him, and He is in us! In a Great Exchange, Jesus suffered, died and took away all the evil that was due to us, and He gave us New Life and His Holy Spirit, so that we could participate in all the good that was due to Him! He provided for us to be able to actually experience living in God’s Heavenly Kingdom—thriving in the presence of His unconditional Love, Joy Peace, Provision, Healing, and authority over sickness and evil through Him! May we receive the amazing Revelation of the true power of Jesus’ Death and Resurrection, and may it transform our lives!

May we deeply experience His Love for us this Christmas in a way that surpasses anything we’ve ever known; may we appropriate all that Jesus died to obtain for us, and may we become vessels of His transforming Love to other people! Merry Christmas!

“WHATEVER ELSE BE LOST AMONG THE YEARS

LET US KEEP CHRISTMAS.

ITS’ MEANING NEVER ENDS;

WHATEVER DOUBTS ASSAIL US

OR WHAT FEARS,

LET US HOLD CLOSE THIS DAY

— REMEMBERING FRIENDS.”

Much love and Blessing!

Happy Thanksgiving 2024

November 27, 2024

KSAM: Happy Thanksgiving 2024

“Lord! I’m bursting with joy over what you’ve done for me!

My lips are full of perpetual praise.

I’m boasting of you and all your works,

so let all who are discouraged take heart.

Join me, everyone! Let’s praise the Lord together.

Let’s make him famous!

Let’s make his name glorious to all.”

-Psalm 34:1-3, The Passion Translation

It is a privilege to live in a country where there is a day set aside each year to give thanks. Early in our country and even recently, as a nation we have been called to fast and to pray and to engage Heaven in our life experiences on planet Earth. What does that mean? Why is that important?

Fasting, praying, being thankful and calling Heaven to the Earth are chosen Dynamics of our Conduct and our Behavior that have huge impact on the outcomes of our lives on Earth and forever. A Dynamic is defined as an interactive system involving competing or conflicting forces. This simply means that for our being thankful there is a corresponding reaction. We choose our outcomes by the actions that we freely and completely select to follow. These actions impact the Earth and our life experiences on this planet. Our present life experiences are entirely the result of the actions that we have chosen previously.

I have often asked myself how important is being thankful to our Creator and our God, and what does the Manufacturer’s Handbook say about thankfulness?

The words “thank,” “thanks,” and their variations are used 139 times in the King James Version of the Scriptures. In the New Living Translation they are used 168 times.  That amount of usage makes the word, its variations and their meanings and usages, important to the Author of the writings. If it is mentioned that many times by our Creator and our God, then we must determine why it is used, how that pertains to us as Humanity, and how this understanding impacts us as Humanity. I believe this is important, particularly in the understanding of our likeness to our Creator.

In a very large majority of the usages of the words thanks and/or thanksgiving, there is the pairing of the admonition or directive to combine thanksgiving with the presentation of our praise to our God and our King. I have often been intrigued by the record in the letter to the Romans identified as Chapter 1 verse 21. There is described here a very clear picture of how our God looks at thanksgiving and praise from Humanity.

The King James version of the Bible says –

“Because that when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful…”

The New Living Translation says –

“Yes, they knew God, but they would not worship Him as God or even give Him thanks…”

There appears to be several things that are identified here as important.

  • Recognition – our Creator wants to be recognized as God. Knowing does not appear to be enough.  There is an element of recognition.  Recognition is defined as the act of identifying someone or something because of previous knowledge, or to formally acknowledge someone. Our Creator God wants Humanity to formally acknowledge Him as our Creator and our God.
  • Acknowledgement – to acknowledge means to accept or to admit the existence, the reality or the truth of someone or something, and to recognize as being valid and as having force or power.
  • Worship – a feeling or expression of reverence and honor and adoration for Deity. To reverence is to show deep feelings of respect/regard and devotion. Devotion is a large expression of dedication and of loyalty.
  • Glory – exaltation. The fame, admiration and honor that is given to someone who does something important. Praise of Deity. Praise and thanksgiving offered as an act of worship to Deity.
  • Thankfulness – gratefulness. Warm, friendly feelings of gratitude.

These terms are key indicators of the personality of our God. To many it may be difficult to believe that our God has a personality.  In different places He refers to His mind.  As like-produced beings, we understand that we have a mind, and that is where our emotions, our feelings, and our personality are developed and where they are housed. Being created in His likeness and His image, for us to have a mind and a personality, He would have to have a personality first. Often people can only imagine God as some austere, non-concerned Being that has no interest in individuals, much less any interest at all in Humanity. I’m not sure where that perception comes from, but a casual observance of our God will dispel any such nonsense.  He is the God of great compassion and provision. Even before the foundations of the Earth, He had greatly detailed plans for each member of Humanity.

A summation of this passage would indicate that our God wants each of us to formally recognize Him as our Creator, to accept and to admit His existence, and to accept and to declare His power in our lives. We are to do this by our expression of reverence, honor and adoration. This expression is to be an exhibition of dedication and loyalty wrapped up in praises that are warm, friendly feelings of gratitude or thankfulness. This is what Jesus was telling the woman at the well in Samaria. This kind of relationship and this kind of praise and worship only comes from a thankful spirit and is received by a thankful God.

Why is a thankful spirit important?  In our World today, especially in the United States, we are a people who often find it easier to recognize what we do not have more than to recognize and to be thankful for what we do have. We are constantly being bombarded by all of the different media forms with things that appear very enticing, and they are presented as things we cannot live without. The reality is that when we get them, they do not look at all as they did in the marketing.  Passing through the Atlanta Airport recently, Fran and I stopped to get a quick sandwich.  As we sat at the table a gentleman came and sat at the table next to us. As he opened his sandwich, he looked at us and said, “Boy, I wish it looked like they show it in that photo on the wall.” It did not. Not only sandwiches, but most everything that is being marketed is shown as something that will change your life. Your life will be enormously enhanced by the experience of owning and enjoying this product.  We purchase them only to learn that the glitter is gone very quickly. My Brother once said to me, “do not buy any of those exercise products you see on television. I have them all in my closet.  They are unused and I will let you have them at half price.” I am sure that was not totally correct, but much too much of it really is.

What are we looking for?  What is it we want, and why do we want it?  Is it possible that we are unhappy with whom we are and what we have, and all of this feeds our discontentment? “If I could only lose ten pounds;” “If I could only get a new car, a new house, a new spouse, a new job, make more money, move to a new town;” and a whole array of “other things that I do not now have.” The displeasure appears to be with ourselves, but we are led to believe that obtaining something outside of ourselves will provide the answer.  Is that a reasonable conclusion?  Is that reality?

All of the marketing we see presents us with unreasonable expectations.  Everything we are shown is perfect, without fault, without blemish.  Our skin, our bodies, our relationships, our cars, our homes, our children, our teeth, our food, and on and on and on, and we are presented with examples that are supposed to be natural, but they are all without blemish.  That does not exist.  If we can understand that we are eternal spirits that live in a body, and that we are managed by our minds, we then can set priorities and reasonable objectives with acceptable time projections for accomplishment.  All of the marketing is very one-sided.  Very little information is offered about products that are available to enhance our spirit’s relationship with our Creator.  Very little is offered to develop correct thinking that is in agreement with our Creator’s plans and the way to look at things His way. Most marketing addresses the body and satisfying the senses. This is the most temporal of all of our being.

Just as the previous terms that describe the personality of our God, they are also a part our make-up and our personality and they are not wrong.  We want to be recognized, our influence for good to be honored, our contribution and participation to be revered by the expression of loyalty and appreciation.  This is important.  It is important to our Creator, and it is important to us as Humanity.  I believe it is false humility to act like this does not matter.  He has said that we are made like Him, and what matters to Him matters to us, and what matters to us matters or is important to Him.

A spirit of thankfulness is very important to our God.  He follows this presentation in Romans with very specific outcomes and actions that are the results for those who do not honor Him as God, who choose to not worship Him, and who are not thankful.

We are told to enter His gates with thanksgiving and to come into His courts with praise.  We cannot be unthankful and constantly complaining. Our God is good and His mercy endures forever.  Be thankful unto Him and bless His Holy name forever and continually.

As the old hymn says, “Count your many blessings, count them one by one.” Make a list of the good in your life and it will overwhelm the bad or challenging.

“Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.” -Philippians 4:8-9, The Message

Have a happy Thanksgiving, from the Lewis Family to yours!
