Our lives are the canvas given to each of us/humanity by our Creator and our Designer, on which we paint the masterpiece of our lives. To get it right and to do it correctly, we must peer through the keyhole of our eternity and our eternalness to see the complete picture of our designed plan and our created purpose. We are the Artist. The brush is in our hand. Our canvas is more a self-portrait than a landscape scene. Each stroke and every movement of the brush is our choosing and our direction.
10 For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), (His masterpiece creation)[a]recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] (that we may be in right relationship with Him so) that we may (know and understand and) do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) (preordained) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
Ephesians 2:10, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition, (paraphrased)
In our lives, if we only consider and look at our here and our now, and if we do not consider our before here and our hereafter, we miss the most important components of our created design.
We did not begin here, and we will not end here. We must know and we must consider our true identity, who we are eternally. We must be aware of where we came from, our origin. We must clearly understand why we are here, our purpose and our reason for being. We are not just here occupying time and space. We are not at rest mass without purpose and without meaning. Our lives have significance.
Knowing this provides the moral compass of how we are to live our lives and provides the assurance, the conviction, and the hope in our forever experience when our spirit leaves our body, departs time and our body ceases to live, but we continue forever and ever.
Glory to our God, our Creator and our Father. The true and the living God who reigns forever.
